Retail consumers have dynamic needs, which drives consumer brands to invent in every area of their marketing mix.
Marlboro, Kodak, and Coca-Cola have shaped advertising and been at the forefront in innovative marketing. Let’s look at five consumer brands’ NFT promotions that have made a difference in advertising and inspired others.
1. Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola launched 4 NFTs in July 2021. Each NFT provided a multi-sensory experience that opened up new possibilities for owners. To make this possible, Coca-Cola collaborated with Decentraland (one of the most prominent names in Metaverse innovations). The character from Decentraland can wear a Coca-Cola bubble coat that was given to one of the NFTs.
These NFTs were auctioned by Coca-Cola on Open Sea, an international friend day. The collected revenue was used for the Special Olympics. The winner also received a Coca-Cola fridge.
